an introduction

hello peeps

First off let me say that I am 100% Filipino; born, raised and educated in the Philippines.

However, like most of my countrymen, I've ventured out into distant lands to look for a better life.
Well, that does not mean that the Philippines has been a completely hopeless country. Although a lot of Filipinos would think so.

I've landed in a country that's been called as the land of fire and ice, Iceland. It may surprise you to know that there is already quite a Filipino population here. It's just been a little over two years since I've been here. And I'm still learning about everything here- the language, the culture and the environment. A far cry from just having wet and dry seasons in the Philippines, Iceland has four. And in some days, you could experience all the seasons in one day!

With that I welcome you into this blog. Enter the mind of a young pinoy as he struggles to cope with the feelings of being an OFW in a faraway country.
